We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, reliable and outgoing sales professional to join our driven and forward thinking team. In this role as a Wellington based Account Manager you will oversee the current portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business with these existing customers while actively seeking new sales opportunities in the lower North Island predominately dealing in the food processing and supermarket industries.

The successful candidate will have responsibilities that include:

Driving sales growth in the region

Proactive development of new opportunities with a new and existing customer base

Developing positive and professional relationships with new and existing customers

Maintaining market insights, exploring and developing opportunities for new products and markets

The successful candidate will have a territory including the Wellington and lower Hawkes Bay and Taranaki regional areas, where 3-4 nights travel per month will be required. A competitive base salary, commission, bonuses and company car are all part of the package being offered.

The ideal candidate for this exciting role will be;

Capable of working independently and goal focused

Be self motivated and have excellent communication skills

A background in the meat or food industry in general would be an advantage but not necessary as extensive training in the food ingredient and packaging areas will be given
