Job DescriptionTe āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the RoleCoronial Services are currently looking for a full-time Administrative Support Officer based in Christchurch.You will be working in a fast-changing environment that will require a high level of agility and resiliency.You will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the Coronial Case Managers and the Coroners. An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.You will work with a dedicated team where and no two days will be the same, and you can support to make a difference to the community through supporting the critical role of the Coroner. This is a very unique environment, and you will have the opportunity to also be involved in being a part of the large programme of work that is occurring across New Zealand.He Pūkenga Tou/Skills And ExperienceIf you have the following key skills and attributes, then we would like to hear from you:
  • Work effectively and calmly in stressful situations
  • Be able to handle viewing photographic coronial material
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, great at multi-tasking and able to prioritise effectively
  • Enjoy working in a reactive as well as a proactive and fast paced environment
  • Professional and confident phone manner
  • Exceptional record-keeping skills with accurate typing and data entry
  • A good working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work both with direction and independently
  • A desire to learn and adapt
  • Relevant previous experience from other similar roles
As travel may be required on occasion, you must be able to travel, sometimes at short notice.
