About the role

We are looking for a friendly, customer service focused Receptionist/Administrator to join our Te Whare O Matairangi team at Wellington Regional Hospital.

No two days will be the same in this varied role that will see you being the first point of contact for all clients and visitors to Te Whare O Matairangi, an Acute Adult Mental Health Recovery Inpatient unit at Wellington Regional Hospital.

You will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the ward and will be responsible for meeting and greeting clients/tangata whaiora, booking appointments, ensuring client files are maintained, ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels and liaising with clinicians and other health professionals to ensure client/tangata whaiora needs are met.

Skills & Experience

  • High level customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in developing administrative procedures
  • Working knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deal with multiple tasks in high pressure situations
