About Us
We are a proud New Zealand Co-operative built by generations of farming whānau. We believe nutritious food is essential to sustain people today, and for future generations to thrive, which is why we challenge ourselves to find new ways to bring our dairy goodness to people around the world.

About the opportunity:

Our Reporoa Farm is set in the South Waikato and is a picturesque and well set out farm with extensive riparian planting with the Broadlands Runoff Block located approximately 22Km away.

Contributing to the successful operation of the Reporoa Dairy Farm and Broadlands Runoff Block reporting to the Farm Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day management of 214 hectares running 210 dairy cows and cut & carry operations along with the 85 hectare Runoff Block which is used for wintering dairy cows and making grass silage.

You will be a proactive allrounder, lending your hand to daily farming activities which will include, but are not limited to: milking cows, feeding livestock, feeding calves, weed control, fencing and general farm maintenance along with some tractor and farm machinery operation.

You will understand all things farming, have a positive attitude, great communication and be willing to step up and take charge when the farm manager is on rostered days off / leave. Your team will be focused on doing what is best for the animals and the environment while creating a good work life balance for all team members. This is a well set up farm where you will be supported by the farm manager and outside training (e.g Primary ITO) is encouraged, making this an opportunity that can’t be missed.

About You:

This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and support our Farm Assistant while continuing to develop and grow your own experience. You will bring a strong interest in an ongoing career in dairy farming and have a minimum of 4-5 years farming experience.

You will also bring:

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to establish effective working relationships
  • A well rounded knowledge of farming but a strong desire to learn more
  • Ability to safely operate farm machinery
  • An attention to detail and be proactive with what is happening around you
  • Some form of agribusiness or a farming education would also be well regarded in this role but not essential.
  • Not be afraid to ask questions

If you’re looking for an opportunity that will offer exposure to Farm Management opportunities, challenges, progression, development and the ability to be involved with innovative farming solutions, then this is the farm for you, apply now!
