Indevin was founded in 2003 and is New Zealand’s leading producer of high-quality wines. Based in Blenheim their grapes come from over 3,000 hectares of planted vineyards and blended in their wineries across 3 of the great NZ wine regions – Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne – giving them scale and consistency of supply unmatched in NZ wine.

About the Role:

Reporting into the General Manager of Supply, the primary focus of this position is the acquisition and retention of Growers in the Marlborough region. This position is responsible for developing & leading the Grower Relations team to become obsessed with relationship management and provide world class support to their growers. In order to successfully do this you will need to introduce best practice disciplines, processes, tools & technology.

This is a strategic leadership position where you will be responsible for leading & developing a team of 3 Grower Liaison Officers, setting clear direction and objects to drive best in class support & management of existing growers as well as targeting new growers to significantly increase the supply of Grower sourced grapes.

Technology & data will play an important role in this position to understand better ways of managing their existing grower base, potential growers and more effectively communicate and share data & information with their Growers.

About You:

To be successful in this position you will be a highly successful people leader from a relationship management & business development background, preferably from the primary sector or FMCG industry. You will have ideally spent time in a corporate business so understand best practice systems & processes and the tools & technology needed with managing a successful sales team.

This is a senior level strategic position within the Indevin business, so is highly visible with the Executive team & Board. You will need to be commercial, have strong financial acumen, contract negotiation, stakeholder management & process improvement skills but above all else be a highly motivated and ambitious people leader with proven experience building high performing teams.
