Ko tō tūranga – Your Role

The main purpose of the Business Development Manager is to ensure the ongoing growth of the company’s sales through new client acquisition.

Ko tō mahi – What you’ll do:

As a known and trusted contact by businesses within the region, you will develop and implement new client acquisition strategies from within existing and new channels, as well as, being able to incorporate opportunities to adopt best practice into recommendations or options to be the digital partner of choice. You will also:

  • Develop strong regional business relationships, known as a trusted advisor.
  • Onboard and support newly acquired customer accounts
  • Develop and close sales opportunities
  • Deliver outstanding sales acumen throughout the customer buying journey
  • Identify new product and service offering and secure with new clients
  • Host regional businesses at relevant education and upskilling events to provide value to their businesses.
  • Collaborate and self-organise with our Retail team members to both educate and support to meet shared goals.
  • Planning and reporting
  • Improve customer experience and NPS

Na tōu rourou - What you’ll bring:

As an experienced Business Development Manager or similar, you will bring a customer first mindset, strong commercial acumen, outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills. You will also bring:

  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a ’can-do’ attitude.
  • High attention to detail with good writing planning and reporting for strategic decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of work productivity, exhibited self-starting, a commitment to reduce unproductive time, taking the initiative and a display of leadership in getting on with the job
  • Strong service and customer orientation, with the ability to identify, understand and determination to meet customer needs.
  • Strong results orientation with a track record of achieving exceptional results and rational decision making
  • Demonstrable experience in new business development gained within B2B markets.
  • Demonstrate a high level of experience on solution selling covering multi-market and channel.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as they develop, such as Security and Cloud.
  • Telecommunication, Agriculture or Construction industry knowledge is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in the use of CRM software for managing activity
