We require an experienced Team Leader that can supervise and coordinate a team of Cable Jointers in Cromwell/ Alexandra and possibly other trade skilled staff, to achieve project delivery in a timely, efficient and safe manner. Planning and organization of work, professional interaction with end consumers and with asset owners is of paramount importance. Ideally you will be a Registered Cable Jointer with a current Practicing License who is keen to progress and looking to make that next step in your career.

You will have previous experience in the high voltage electricity industry and have EWRB registration.

Responsibilities in the role:

  • Jointing, installations, and terminations of underground HV/LV power cables (PILC, XLPE, PVC), including OH terminations
  • Adhere to Company Systems and Health, Safety and Environment procedures as well as statutory requirements
  • Emergency response on customer distribution and sub-transmission cable assets.

About you:
  • You will have knowledge of and experience in HV and LV jointing and terminating cables
  • Previous appropriate industry experience
  • A good work history that demonstrates a safe work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A positive approach to personal development.
  • The ability to adapt to rapidly changing scenarios whilst always ensuring safety
  • You will also be registered or be working towards registering with the Electrical Workers Registration Board as a Cable Jointer.
