Casual Relief Kaiako – Certificate Te Ara Reo Māori Level 2 and Level 4

We are seeking a casual relief kaiako to deliver our Te Ara Reo Māori programmes using Ako Whakatere method and techniques. Applicants should be competent speakers of Te Reo Māori, have a thorough knowledge of tikanga Māori and be familiar with teaching methods which will enthuse our students.

Applicants will have a minimum of a:

• Diploma in Te Reo or Mātauranga Māori (or similar),

• Adult Teaching Qualification Level 5

• National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Vocational) Level 5;

• A full clean driver’s licence

• Available to work evenings and weekends

The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings at short notice and will be able to relieve in classes offering Level 4 te reo Māori.
