The Role

Based out of our Christchurch Branch, PBT are seeking a customer service super star who is keen to get in and get the job done. This role would suit someone who has experience in retail or hospitality or anyone that thrives on problem solving and top-notch communication.

You will have direct dealings with customers, depots, drivers, sub-contractors and other internal departments. This is a busy but rewarding role - if you enjoy working in a fast-paced and fun environment with a variety of duties, this job was made for you!


  • General Call Centre and Administrative Duties.
  • Assisting with consignments (tracking, booking, redirecting)
  • Assessing and identifying customer needs and providing world class solutions in line with our values.
  • Following process and procedure for administrative requirements to accurately capture customer information.
  • Building strong and positive relationships within the business
  • Answering queries by phone, email and/or messenger applications.

About you.

  • Previous experience working in a contact center or customer focused role.
  • intermediate computer skills
  • strong clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • a vibrant and energetic personality, who is driven by delivering a world class customer experience and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • a passion and drive to go above and beyond for our customers by providing a great customer experience and a strong understanding of customer needs.
  • Proactive, Professional and Positive!
  • Resilient and agile to move with change.

Skills Needed

  • First class communication skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally with people from different backgrounds and roles.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (for example able to read and comprehend business rules and policies, able to communicate and record customer information professionally)
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Adaptable with effective problem-solving skills
  • Computer experience and strong keyboard/data entry skills.
