Supporting the Executive Manager, you will be a part of a team that is responsible for delivering planning and regulatory functions, parks and recreation, and property and community facilities and which supports our local community.

This role is like no other, you will be challenged but rewarded by knowing that you have a positive influence in the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Planning and Environment, you will be professional and highly organised with experience in managing multiple tasks and priorities. You will be responsible for assisting the Executive Manager with executive support, whilst providing a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

As the Executive Assistant, you will be resourceful and independently driven, you are a forward thinker with excellent attention to detail. This is the perfect role for someone who is assertive, organised, and able to decisively make well thought out decisions and run with them.

As the successful applicant you will have:

  • a diploma level or higher in Business studies, or a similar qualification
  • experience as an executive assistant or personal assistant
  • experience in local government would be an advantage but not essential
  • high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • proven relationship building experience
  • sound analytical, practical and report writing skills.
  • the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines
