Casual position covering staff leave, working on an as required basis

Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

As a Hospital Service Employee (Household) you are a critical part of our team at Wairau Hospital. You will make sure our hospital is a place where people can get better safely, families can visit in comfort, and staff can do great work in a hygienic and safe environment. You will undertake a range of cleaning and household duties throughout our wards and operating theatres, public areas and offices.

As this is a casual position, predominantly covering staff leave, it will be important that you have the flexibility to work across a range of shifts and days, sometimes at short notice. Our housekeeping team works between the hours of 5.00AM and 11.30PM, Monday to Sunday. Some rostering will be available when covering planned annual leave.

Please note that there are no guaranteed minimum hours of work for casual employees.

To be successful in this role you must be reliable, have a positive attitude and consistently deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service. Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage; however, training will be provided.
