We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team at Nelmac Kūmānu in a fixed-term/part-time parental leave capacity.

20 hours per week – flexibility structuring these hours

The role sits within our People & Safety team supporting the people aspects of our business across our varied divisions of Water, Greenspaces, Commercial, and Conservation. The role offers great variety providing HR administration and coordination in support of our HR Business Partners and Recruitment Specialist.

A Typical Day Could Include

Co-ordination of events such as company inductions and other celebrations

Administering of the employee reward programme

Preparation of employment offer documentation and coordinating the onboarding process

Preparation of various employment documents in relation to employee variations

Information management, ensuring employee files and data is current and correct

Responding to general HR inquiries around policy and process.

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role you’ll be highly organised, have an eye for detail, have the ability to multi-task and set priorities, take a systematic view to working, with an understanding of HR functions and have a strong administration background. You’ll be a person of integrity with sound understanding of the confidential nature of the information we work with.

Your Capabilities

Strong administration background (preferably in an HR or legal context)

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong organisational and time-management skills

High attention to detail and quality

Continuous improvement and customer-focused

Ability to use your initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
