ABOUT THE JOB

We have a great opportunity for a keen junior technician looking to build a career in a growing industry. This is the perfect role to learn across all the machines, departments and people. Your main focus will be to look after the in-house servicing and repairs of both our second-hand machinery and rebuilds. You will be an integral part of our established, high performing service team based in East Tamaki, Auckland. Being sole charge, this requires a self-motivated and resourceful person who can take ownership of all work going in and out of the workshop.

Tasks include:

  • Rebuilds of gluepots, spindles and other components
  • Repairs of second-hand machinery and preparing for resale
  • General engineering and technical service work
  • Technical support for software demonstrations and training as needed
  • Assist the spare parts team with stock level management for rebuilt components
  • Contribute to costings and undertake quality assessments of component rebuilds

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for two key things – the right attitude AND a mechanical/electrical skillset. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience in a workshop or technical service environment
  • A background as a Service Technician/Engineer within the commercial or industrial equipment and machinery sector is preferable
  • Good skills in diagnostic work, fault finding and problem resolution
  • A strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a real ‘can do’ attitude
  • Current EST license would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Your own basic tools
