Laboratory Technician Serology

Gribbles Veterinary Pathology New Zealand is the country’s leading provider of veterinary diagnostic services, operating five laboratories nationwide.

We currently have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to join our Serology team based at our Palmerston North laboratory. This fully equipped diagnostic laboratory performs a range of domestic and export testing, on behalf of private veterinarians, research organisations, government agencies, pharmaceutical companies and zoos.

This is a full time permanent position.

Ideally, the successful applicant will:

• The successful applicant will have a suitable tertiary qualification in Science or laboratory science with a background in Molecular Biology and/or Immunology or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Have laboratory experience performing serological ELISA assays, complement fixation tests, immunofluorescence tests and agglutination tests.
• Experience in the handling and laboratory preparation of blood specimens
• Be well organised and have an eye for detail,
• Have a strong focus on quality and customer service
• Be a strong team player
