Maintenance Trades Assistant - Macraes Process Plant

The role

Undertake and perform preventative maintenance and condition monitoring tasks, as well as other general duties to support the Maintenance team in a safe and efficient manner.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide routine lubrication services via a scheduled lubrication regime
• Undertake and provide feedback of prescribed Preventative Maintenance checks, including oil sampling
• Assist trades staff (Mechanical and Electrical) under direct supervision of such trades as required
• Assemble work packs as required following correct warehouse procedures
• General workshop duties including maintaining of a safe and tidy workspace. Obey all written and verbal health and safety instructions
• Establish and maintain the highest possible standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in individual work area and mine site in general
• Attend pre-shift safety and toolbox safety meetings
• Report all incidents and near misses and workplace hazards
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review/revision of procedures when required

The successful candidate will have as follows:

• Full and current driver’s licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
• No formal qualification however a good mechanical aptitude will be required
• Forklift operator’s certificate is preferred. (F-endorsement)
• Previous experience in a 24-hour, continual process production setting in heavy industrial environments preferred but not essential
