New World Papakura - Chilled/Frozen Assistant

At New World Papakura we are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual to join our Chilled/Frozen team. As part of the team you will be responsible for ensuring that the Chilled/Frozen departments are kept full and present well, offering a great shopping experience for our customers.

Your main duties will include:

• Checking and receipting in deliveries

• Replenishment of stock

• Assisting customers when possible

• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

We’re looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Comfortable working in a cold environment

• Physically fit and no problems with lifting heavy boxes all day

• Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment

• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude for getting things done

• Reliable

• Excellent communication skills

• Able to work under pressure

• A team player

• Customer service driven, able to deliver and maintain our excellent reputation

The position is permanent part time 21 hours. Previous experience is would be an advantage for the role and you must be legally entitled to work in NZ. The exact hours and days of the position will be discussed with applicants at the interview stage but will include early starts and a weekend day.
