This is an excellent opportunity for Production Coordinator to join a growing team within the Red Stag group. The position will support in driving production and processing of timber for the manufacturing of Engineered Wood Products (EWP) in a brand new manufacturing plant within the greater Red Stag site in Rotorua. New Engineered Wood Product plant (commissioned May 2021) produces Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), Glue Laminated Timber (GLT) and Finger Jointed (FJ) structural products. Depending on the experience and skills, the successful candidates will be developed, with supporting training to learn how to operate the factory gantry crane systems in parallel with state of the art and highly automated equipment in grading, Finger Jointing (FJ), planning, material handling, gluing/pressing, CNC options and post processing.

Red Stag Wood Solutions Limited (RSWS) has a planned growth curve that will see the site buildings, plant and equipment nearly double in scale and scope over the next two years, therefore provides a unique opportunity to be part of the expanding division in Rotorua.

In coming into the team, this position will report to the Operations Manager and support the overall manufacturing and timber processing operations to transition ungraded timber into precision, high quality CLT, GLT and FJ Structural products, etc.

Key attributes and accountabilities important for these roles include:

  • Experience in managing teams in a hands-on capacity is advantageous.
  • Very good organisational skills and associated priority and time management.
  • Able to work autonomously and provide self-direction.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computing skills is beneficial to support in logging/documenting production records.
  • Experience in timber processing operations is advantageous.
  • Experience with operating and managing crane gantry systems in factory is beneficial, but not essential.
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality work.
  • Energetic with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to solve problems.
