The job opportunity

Teamwork is a major focus in this role as a Production Technician. You will be required to set up and run production batches on rotating machinery, perform equipment setups and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all internal and external standards for safety and compliance. Along with this you will be expected to contribute to improvement initiatives. Flexibility with hours is essential as some shiftwork and overtime will be required.

The ideal candidate

Key to the success of this role is a person who is able to quickly assess any potential problems and hazards that may occur with machinery operation. Along with this you will need:

  • A good mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to read, interpret and apply job instructions effectively
  • A sound understanding of health and safety systems and processes
  • Understand the importance of quality control and be good at record keeping.
  • Capable of connecting well with a team and working independently
  • To demonstrate a strong work ethic, be hardworking and committed
  • To cope with the demands of a busy work environment.
