Due to continued sales and construction growth and with some exciting projects underway, we are looking for a residential construction Project Manager to join our Tauranga team working around the Bay or Plenty. We are looking for a start in February 2022.

We have a wide range of builds happening from volume builds, high end architectural builds and multi-unit developments.

This role requires you to work closely with construction administration, suppliers, tradespeople and H&S representatives and manage the construction of multiple builds to high customer standards and specifications. To do so, you will:

  • Set planning, guidance and standards to the building contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Guide Health and Safety practices throughout your allocated build sites.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment with quality as the key driver.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communications.
  • Ensure construction is completed on time to Council standards.
  • Proactively manage project costs, workloads and priorities across multiple sites.

As a successful candidate, you will either be a qualified Builder/Foreman, Site Manager or a Project Manager with 2+ years’ experience in residential home delivery in the NZ environment and a good working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZS3604. You will also have:

  • Recent experience working with customers, contractors and Health and Safety.
  • Experience in terraced or multi-unit housing construction is an advantage.

Above all, the right candidate will be honest, reliable, have high attention to detail, safety and quality, able to follow process in MS office and project management software, and be comfortable working with people – colleagues, clients, contactors and consultants – and at ease working to deadlines and under pressure.
