We’re looking for a keen hardworking Shepherd to join our team at Wharekopae Station. If you’re looking for an opportunity to work on a classic East Coast sheep and beef station and you have a few years of farming experience under your belt, a good team of dogs, and you’re able to work by yourself when needed, we might just have the ideal job and team for you. In our team of five, you’ll have to opportunity to work with and learn from two highly experienced Stock Managers. You’ll be exposed to all of the usual duties for a sheep and beef farm with plenty of scope to self-manage your day. Wharekopae has 22000 su across 2120 ha effective. Wharekopae focuses predominantly on breeding and finishing stock (both cattle & sheep) including stock from other Pāmu properties nearby. The Wharekopae team has a supportive Farm Manager who endorses career development and offers a variety of responsibilities.This role comes with a 3 bedroom home, located in the Rere district 1 hour from Gisborne. Local primary schooling is in Rere with secondary schooling situated in Gisborne.
