As a business services company, our four Business Units represent brands into various NZ markets across including, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Lifestyle and Household, Technology and Performance Materials. We operate right across the goods and services supply chain from product importing, marketing, sales and post-sales support, and client and customer account management

Each of these Business Units represents high quality, global brands including Lindt, Ferrero Rocher, Old El Paso, Morning Fresh, Peckish, Chupa Chups, Jack Link’s, Werther’s, Harraways, Zyliss, Emile Henry and Staub. Our portfolio also includes laboratory equipment and consumables, ingredients to the food and beverage industry, personal care, pharmaceuticals and much more.

DKSH employs around 700 people throughout New Zealandwith our Head Office located in the heart of the Manawatu in Palmerston North where our distribution center and our core business support functions are located.

Our Human Resources team is embarking on a significant period of change as we expand to meet recent growth across the business. DKSH have a very strong market position and despite COVID, we have experienced an unprecedented growth due to acquisitions and onboarding of new business.

This is an outstanding time to join our HR team in one of two newly created talent acquisition positions.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Country HR Manager (HRM). In this genuinely exciting position, you will be working closely with all our business leaders in the planning and execution of our talent sourcing strategies.

You will work closely with our local HR Business Partners and our Global Talent team to ensure an aligned and best practice approach to talent acquisition and onboarding.

There is plenty going on and so we will need you to hit the ground running confidently managing the end -to-end recruitment processes, getting to grips with the diversity of our company and identifying business and process improvements that you want to lead across the business.

We need you to bring your ability to think laterally and expert thinking into our sourcing & attraction strategies. DKSH presents an attractive employment option, but we know that working within a skills-shortage market can be challenging. You will be encouraged to challenge the status quo, build campaign expertise across the board all they while building your internal and external partnerships.

Ultimately, we want to ensure we are well positioned to deliver the best fitting candidates to the business and an outstanding candidate experience.

This position is yours to make your own. There is plenty of scope to lead from the front operating as a fully integrated member of the wider HR team.

To join our team, you must be a highly motivated and experienced recruitment professionalwho is keen to expand the scope of your role and lead this specialised inhouse function and team of two.

Our HR team also have an experienced HR Coordinator and HR Administrator supporting the administrative activities including contracts preparation across the team.

We have heaps of experience across the team, and we are ready, willing and able to support your transition.

The Role Specifics

You’ll be responsible for end-to-end professional level role recruitment processing, promotion of DKSH as an employer of choice at career days and other relevant industry events, and you will be leading several exciting global and local process and system enhancement projects.

You’ll also be supporting the ongoing development of our leaders though nationwide roll-out of new processes and recruitment skills training support.

Partnering closely with our hiring managersand your Human Resource colleagues will be pivotal to your success within this role.

This role offers the perfect balance of strategy and operations across all our Business Units.

We continually seek out ways to improve all aspects of our recruitment and service delivery. At the same time, we want to ensure we are providing the business with pragmatic, efficient, fair, and robust recruitment processes.

Your ability to look beyond the obvious, drive change and take ownership, with a collaborative style will also be critical to your success.
