We have sites and support options across the whole of North Island and Wellington. Our School Holiday Program is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment. Our team of support workers ensure that all children are catered for and active participation is achieved.

As a Programme Leader in our School Holiday Programme in Hamilton, you will lead a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with a learning disability can spend time in the holidays. Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you will lead the facilitation of meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks.

This is a fixed term contract covering two consecutive weeks (Monday 12 July 2021 - Friday 23 July 2021).

Skills

& Experience
  • Committed and passionate for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
  • Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with your colleagues and the people you support
  • Empathy and willingness to support people with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toileting
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • The commitment to achieve a Community Support Worker Level 3 qualification
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities and/or challenging behaviours
  • Reliability, Commitment, and Passion for working with people
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email
